Election Results
From April next year, the existing seven district councils and the county council will be transformed into a single new unitary council, providing both district and county functions.
A giant step towards the shaping of the new unitary council was made yesterday when the existing 63 county councillors stood down so that people can have a fresh vote for the councillors they want to set up and then run the new unitary council.
Full Results and further details are now available.
Statement from Roy Templeman (Chief Executive) and Linda Ebbatson (Leader of the Council).
